Position Overview: Part-time Relief Facility Manager working approximately 10 hours a week, as scheduled. Supports Facility Staff and Management with daily functions of running a self-storage facility as assigned, including management of facility and rental fleet maintenance.

Provide outstanding customer service including professionally handling telephone, email communications and walk-in inquiries.

Greet customers professionally, assess storage needs, resolving customer problems and offering solutions.

Promote and complete rental of storage units, collection of rents, insurance, retail sales and rental equipment. Document and follow up on leads and reservations of storage units and truck rentals.

Ensure customers understand facility standards, rental agreement, fees and insurance. Manage and solve customer service issues and escalate customer concerns to Facility Manager as necessary.

Reserve, rent and maintain U-Haul rental vehicles.

Support with general management of the office including, but not limited to office opening and closing.

Complete daily facility Walk-Through including lock checks, condition of grounds and buildings.

Ensure management systems accurately reflects the status of facility transactions at the end of each day.

Maintains open communication to keep manager apprised of any tenant and property issues. Report critical issues or areas immediately to Management.

Assist with maintenance tasks as needed.

Maintain retail products inventory in a neat and orderly manner, perform inventory count and provide reconciliation report to Management monthly.

Assist Management with preparing units for auction.

Effective communication between all team members, clients and supervisors.

Knows and maintain all corporate policy and procedures as directed by Management.

Maintain professional appearance and conduct at all times.

Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Skills and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Basic Computer Skills are required.

Cash handling experience, ability to make proper change.

A valid drivers license is required.

General office and telephone skills are required.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

A positive attitude and composure.

Good organizational skills.

Must have flexibility with work hours including weekends.

Be available to assist in after-hour emergencies as needed.

Physical Demands

Must be able to bend, stoop, sit, stand, walk, and climb stairs. Occasional lifting and carrying items weighing 50 pounds or less.

Must be able to sit, stand or walk for long periods of time.

Must be able to frequently communicate with the ability to hear and talk on a regular basis with clients who have inquiries about their storage accounts, billing invoice or other related account matters; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
