This is the tenth consecutive year that the Canyon County Sheriff’s Office is hosting the event, which will pay honor and respect to the 74 Idaho law enforcement Officers that have given the ultimate sacrifice while serving in the line of duty. Besides honoring our fallen comrades of Idaho, we will also dedicate a portion of the ceremony to recognize all of our brothers and sisters in the law enforcement profession.
The event is held at the Canyon Hill Church of the Nazarene Park, which is located at 903 N. Michigan Ave. in Caldwell. The event will begin at 2:00 p.m. Please come early as parking is limited. The ceremony will start with a police motorcade arriving at the park and the posting of the colors by the Canyon County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard. Several honored guests will then deliver remarks to honor law enforcement and, in particular, those who dedicated their lives in the line of duty. Then the names of all 74 Officers will be read aloud while a single rose for each officer is placed next to a wreath in remembrance of their service. A blue balloon will be released at the conclusion of the ceremony representing our fallen brothers and sisters.
