Saltzer Health welcomes patients Aug. 4 to new Caldwell Urgent Care Clinic

A new Saltzer Health urgent care clinic at 512 E. Elm in Caldwell will offer a unique patient experience with quality care, personalized hospitality, open and airy architecture, and new technology specially designed to improve the check-in and paperwork process.

The urgent care clinic opened for patient care Tuesday, Aug. 4. Hours are 8 a.m.-8 p.m. daily. Clinical staff members provide walk-in care for colds, flu, coughs, sore throats, earaches, allergies, and sinus infections, broken bones, nausea and vomiting, urinary symptoms and other ailments. The clinic also offers sports physicals and on-site x-rays.

At the clinic entrance, a staff member will welcome patients and introduce them to True Care, a new technology that will help ease the burden of check-in paperwork and making appointments and payments.

Urgent Care Director Stacy Chessmore, RN, a former emergency room nurse, has a passion for hiring team-oriented clinicians. “At Saltzer Health, our providers, nurses and medical assistants have a high skill set, which allows them to treat a variety of illnesses and injuries efficiently and effectively,” she said.

Special features of the 5,300-square-foot building include floor-to-ceiling windows in the waiting area, a calming color scheme, centralized nurse’s station to improve patient care, adjustable exam tables suitable for all ages and abilities, and on-site x-ray with skilled technicians who can provide same-day results.

“From the moment you see our buildings, come in our doors and meet our providers, you will feel the difference,” said Tommy Ahlquist, MD. A former emergency room physician, Ahlquist is the CEO of Ball Ventures Ahlquist (BVA) and co-owner of Saltzer Health.

The clinic is the first of five new Saltzer Health clinics opening in coming months. The largest facility will be a 24/7 urgent care clinic under construction at Ten Mile Crossing in Meridian.

Mark Guho Construction Co. is the contractor.
