Pet Haven Inc. was established in 1972 and has been operating continuously since. It is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization operated by a volunteer Board of Directors. The organization does not receive any local, state, or federal funding. Their mission statement is to rescue, temporarily house, rehabilitate, and place abandoned, lost, and surrendered cats and kittens in loving homes. They also aim to reduce overpopulation through spay and neuter services, promote healthy pets, and educate the public through advocacy and community outreach.
