About Cinco de Mayo: Cinco de Mayo commemorates the Mexican army's victory over the French Empire at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. It's a day to celebrate Mexican heritage and pride, not only in Mexico but also in communities around the world. While often mistaken for Mexico's Independence Day, which is celebrated on September 16th, Cinco de Mayo holds significance as a symbol of resilience and unity. Join us in downtown Nampa for a day filled with food, music, and fiesta vibes.
